The latest Fylde newsletter has details of this unusual jobbie - three different basic scale lengths plus individually capo-able string pairs for partial capo functionality - don't think I'd ever figure this one out! www.fyldeguitars.com/custom_guitars/nordic.htmlKeith

Doesn't appeal to me ... though I might be tempted if they did one with fan frets and a re-entrant tunnelled sixth course!

It may have some practical uses but it looks like it's had a horrible accident

Just saw this thread (thanks fretnot ) and it looks utterly bizarre, but as with most Fyldes, beautifully made

Just saw this. Thanks fretnot.
That headstock. I don't know what to say. It's bizarre.

The Headstock is crazy but I think it look s like a really useful instrument... having a big range with a low bass and high treble notes in easy reach sounds amazing... the screw type single string capos would save retuning and breaking strings when using different drones.

I've had an enquiry to build something like this- still under negotiation! You might find this interesting Nordic mandolaCheers Gary
