Taking great heart from jackorion's Zoom gig on this 'ere forum and how excellent the sound and feeling of 'being there' was I'm please to see that Styeve Tilston ( ziggurat) is also going to be live in concert (sort of) on Saturday 5 September at 8pm Zoomed Live-to-Your-Living-Room via the marvels of modern technology... all the way from Wadsworth Community Centre, Hebden Bridge Hosted by Folk Weekend Oxford and accompanied by Hugh Bradley on double bass with the added bonus... you don't actually need to travel to Oxford to be there, in fact you could be anywhere in the world pretty much! Starting at 8 pm, 2 x 45 minute sets and a 10 minute interval, it’s almost like a proper gig. Almost. Tickets are £14 if you can afford it - but there's the option to pay less if you need to, or pay more if you want to (to help subsidise other musicians and venues) Full details are hereIt'd be great to see some of you there, too

Great gig, so it was! Steve was supposed to do 90 minutes - ended up doing just over 2 hours and did a couple of Q+As, too. There were 95 people booked on (along with a select audience at the venue itself) For those interested in that type of thing, the set list was: 1st half. Oil And Water, Life Is A Shared Thing, Fisher Man Of Whitby, Waters Of March, Shinjuku, Satellites Decree (which he 'trialled' with us at Halifax last year), Road When I Was Young. 2nd half This Rocky Road, Living With The Blues, Can't Shake These Blues, The Night Owl Homeward Turns, Crying Shame, After Summer Rain, Mystery Train, The King Of The Coiners, Sovereign Of Tides, Slip Jigs And Reels - with Devil may Care as an encore. That's less than a quid a song. A great evening - many thanks ziggurat
