There is nothing I dislike about this album. Peerless.

Thanks to one of the replies on this thread I've just ordered a double CD/dvd on ebay 'Carole King and James Taylor Live at the Troubador'. This was released in 2010; I've got most of the tracks on various other CDs and seen a few of their duets on video but not got their duets on CD and will be nice to play the whole DVD as well. Can't go wrong for under £4!!

I saw her with James Taylor in July 71 at Newcastle City Hall. An unforgettable concert that Sting also attended and it literally changed his life because he decided that night to make music his career. Not sure if he was sat anywhere near me. Much as I love and have been influenced by JT, I prefer CK’s version of You’ve Got Friend. I learned from Lee Sklar that the reunion tour that followed the Troubadour gig was all set to come to the UK but that sadly CK pulled out. Must say I and thousands of others were very disappointed.

Hi, Great story about the concert in 71. I was just leaving Newcastle back then and had been at the City Hall quite a few times when I could afford it. I remember seeing The Spinners, Roy Orbison and of course the Animals and High Level Ranters! I'm a bit sad to recall also Freddie and The Dreamers! The JT/CK event must have been a fabulous concert. I saw JT in Birmingham about 8 years back I think and he was excellent; unlike many others of his era he still had total control vocally and instrumentally. I remember watching out for UK dates of the Troubadour Tour but didn't know the reason it was called off. FFJ

I love that album, all of it, there’s not a duff track on it. My favourite though is Smackwater Jack.
