I had a recent enquiry about one of my 36 Weissenborn's I built in the late 90's turning up in Japan... when Picato Musician Strings were still in the business of string manufacture in Treorchy, South Wales I had specialist sets made for me as well as bespoke strings for my harp guitars. Curious I asked the chap for the serial number so I could identify it: I spent some time looking through my 'shop' record book - I had forgotten how many non- Martin repro guitars I made when I was brave, young in the business and knew nothing, not even how to spell Weissneborn correctly! Anyone else astonished at what they used to do when they didn't know any better? FYI - entry below the Weisssenborn is my 'real' guitar. I'll do a photo and sound bite for you.

Pete hearing Jack Rose playing your Weissenborn and seeing Aussie maestro Jeff Lang live plating his Churchill Weissenborn lead me down the track to get my own one made by Aussie Luthier Tim Kill. I’m originally from 🏴 Wales too.

Another one has surfaced - this must have been published to assist a sale. His view is it is a near original copy in sound and origin. Pete Howlett Weissenborn on YouTubeI did not put in pickup....

... for Youtube vids the simplest way is to just copy the url of the vid from your browser and paste it into your compose post screen and the vid will appear when you publish you post. Usually!
