Sounds nice. Dunno how difficult they are to play. They have always been a bit mysterious to me and I always associate the Chapman Stick with Nick Beggs from Kajagoogoo.

Sounds nice. Dunno how difficult they are to play. They have always been a bit mysterious to me and I always associate the Chapman Stick with Nick Beggs from Kajagoogoo. I had a chance to buy one many years back and had it for a couple of years. It wasn't at all easy to get both hands working together and I decided in the end that I'd stick with acoustic guitar, partly because it didn't work with my long right-hand nails, and partly because I couldn't think of much in my style of music that it would be a much use for. Maybe it's easier if you're an electric player to begin with. And like a lot of the two-handed tapping stuff, I found myself thinking "why not just use a keyboard?".
But a bit like the pedal steel, you don't have to be very good in order to be the best player for miles around ;-)
