Can anyone recommend someone in the London area who could do some fettling on a banjo?
I've got a rather nice old fretless from the late 1800s, but the neck and tailpiece don't line up - the fifth string is off the fingerboard by the time it meets the rim. I can't see an obvious fix, but then I'm a klutz who shouldn't be allowed near tools.
I'd rather someone in London or the South East who I can visit, because it doesn't have a case and is a bit delicate.

My buddy Frank is a whizz with banjos - he builds, repairs and is a damned good player - he's down near croydon if you still need it seen to - I can ask him if he's up for it. let me know... <--- he's the one on the left of my profile pic
