Some fascinating stuff on iPlayer, especially for those old enough to remember the halcyon days of folk on mainstream television when there were only 2 channels - yes, my children, there was a time before Sky.
I enjoyed Alan Whicker's report (!) on the worthy burgers of Newquay's attempts to purge bearded, long-haired beatniks from its sweet-smelling town in "Folk at the BBC: the 50s and 60s". Also some cracking banjo from Peggy Seeger and a great clip of Davy (sic) Graham. Looking forwards to Donovan, Sandy Denny and Richard Thompson in "Folk at the BBC:the 60s and 70s.
Ah, nostalgia plainly ain't what it used to be.

I enjoyed those too, Brian - they keep coming round every so often and I always try to watch them. Love the bit where a very young Wizz Jones says that all he wants to do is to travel and play his guitar. Keith
