Brief and simple. These are really fantastic strings. Over many years I've used the lot: Augustine, Savarez, Aranjuez, Concertiste, D'Addario... and others I've forgotten. My flamenco had been left in its case for quite a while and I still have stocks of various string makers but wanted black nylon trebles (which have always sounded a little sharper to me) and silver basses (slightly warmer and very rich harmonically - to me). The LaBellas are everything I look for - really well balanced tonally and in tension. The trebles are capable of the very sharp attack of the flamenco sound, but dial back beautifully when you want them to (apoyando, playing in to the adjacent lower string). The basses are fabulous, right the way up the neck. I'm confident they will last as well as any others (which isn't very well as the basses always go off fairly quickly). At about a tenner a set a change once a month is absolutely fine. My previous best option was Concertiste trebles and Aranjuez silver basses... an expensive solution given you can only buy full sets of each). Five stars from me, so long as LaBella keep making them exactly like this, I'm sorted. I have the Dowina hybrid coming fairly soon, first thing will be a set of these on it. It'll never sound as good as my Esteve so there's a thing.
