The amazing, incredible, highly under-rated Janis Ian has just released a new album at the age of 70 and for us oldies it just shows that age doesn't count. The songs on this, which I've just listened to, are fabulous and her lyrics continue to find the poignancy which she had back 57 years ago. Here's an example from the new CD, simple arrangement but draws the listener in to share the emotion of the situation she describes. Released in January 2022. Enjoy.

Thanks for the heads up fatfingerjohn . Have loved Janis Ian since I saw her on the Val Doonican show (least I think that's what it was) in the 70s. I think it may have been Fly Too High and Other Side of the Sun that she performed but I'm probably way off the mark - I've never had the best of memories.
