A 14.75 inch scale length mandolin, strung up yesterday morning. Engelmann Spruce and River Oak, Blackwood binding. Neck is Sipo Mahogany, with a ziricote fingerboard with ebony binding. Rubner tuners. Osmo PolyX 3011 finish. H bracing, following Graham McDonald's book, and using a 3 meter induced curve front and back.
Aiming for improvement with each build! Happy with tone and playability, just have to get someone who knows how to play to record a sound sample (or overcome my fear of showing my limited skills in this regard!)
