Brilliant, great resource, should be compulsory purchase for any folk fan of the 60's... sadly some gone now- Imlach/Jansch/Martyn/Renbourn/Norma Waterson.....

Yes mine is ordered. As some of you will know I spent a lot of my misspent youth at Les Cousins in the late 60s/early 70s, and it's where I learned much of my guitar playing, it's where I graduated from being someone who 'played a guitar' to being a 'guitarist'. The after hours Les Cousins equivalent of the HB Circle of Death was the best learning environment you could have and where a lot of the best players of the day would try out new pieces. Not many of the players I knew there are still about.

So is it pronounced "Les Cousins" or "Les Cousins"? Peter Although it was supposedly named after a French film of the period, I never heard it pronounced anything other than Les Cousins. Hope that helps.

So is it pronounced "Les Cousins" or "Les Cousins"? Peter Strangely, there don't appear to be any tacks by Les himself on the album.

Hope that helps. Actually Les Cousins was the son of a leading trade unionist Frank Cousins. Not noted for his musical ability.

Maybe its not important, but it occurs to me that the recording quality might be very poor. I also spent a lot of time in Les Cousins in the late sixties and early seventies and the PA facilities were very basic and as young people today say, very "random". On one memorable occasion Ron Geesin took a bathroom break halfway through reciting a poem, but continued his recital from the toilet!

I think this is a compilation of tracks by artists who played at Les Cousins from other sources?
