I just bought one- best acoustic guitar I've ever played. I've always had an aversion to ' player ports '- but I really like it. There is a danger though- they make my other acoustic guitars sound muffled

... you could always stuff a hanky in the sound port! But yes, they do add an extra dimension to the player's listening experience which I like too. Congrats on the new guitar colan - hope you'll have a great time together. Any chance of pics/sounds...? Keith

about 3;10 for the G-200 Not what it was designed for, I'm sure- but it serves to demonstrate its versatility.

I've never owned a Gibson, but do like the look of their Jumbo's. I've long had a hankering for the slightly smaller size jumbo. That sound port is a good idea. I think many if us spend a good proportion of our time playing for ourselves, after all.

Keith Gibson make a player port cover- which is designed to reduce the risk of feedback , just like a sound hole cover. I can't find a supplier though- so I'm making my own.

This one is affordable - by comparison with the ' J' range- and delightfully exceeds my expectations . It's down to the player, of course. I recently tried a J-200 and the G-200 is far more suitable for me.
