Leo kindly met me in the Ye Olde Jerusalem Pub in Nottingham to hand over the guitar. I was in Notts for the day picking up my Martin from Dave Mann's music where it has had a lovely set-up by Colin Staples. Unfortunately Leo was only able to stay for a short time but I was consoled by the fact that I will soon see him in Halifax. Here is a fuzzy pic of the handover, appropriately in one of the caves of the pub. The mandolin is gorgeous. I might not come to Halifax at all and just skip town with the mando in hand. I am going to try and learn a few two finger chorded tunes this week, so will hopefully be able to record something next week. I could easily order one of these for myself, the neck feels fantastic.

Glad you like it Lynn. Has Leo's camera also had its lens replaced - that looks like a 1960's photo Looking forward to any recordings you make and see you at Halifax (don't think about running off I've had CBT micro-chipped )

It was a picture taken by my phone. It's pretty bad, isn't it? I won't be running anywhere Dave, I can barely hobble these days!

It was great to meet up with Lynn (and enjoy a drinky at the 'oldest inn in England' (apparently!) Time was all too short - the Lord is a bugger to work for. Photo was kindly taken on Lynn's phone by a patron at the bar - who did say it might be a bit fuzzy but, to be fair, EVERYTHING looks fuzzy to me at the moment and, besides, I look better slightly out of focus

Great to see the De Faoite roadtrip wending its merrie way thro' the shires!
Someone was extolling the merits of GCGC mando tuning to me recently, haven't tried it myself but I suspect there may be a few 2-fingered chords in that one.
cheers

Nice photo I hope you enjoyed your time with the little beastie, Lynn I did. My husband enjoyed it even more. It made his Fender mandolin sound like a toy.

I'm hoping it doesn't make me want to thrown my other mandos in the bin
