I think I've got all of his albums and all the tab that came with the Kicking Mule ones, and have never managed to play a single one of his pieces. The man was just enormously talented.

Obviously 'Stagefright' is the ultimate in difficulty, but I really like Keep me From the Cold, and Now Is The Time.

I love Dave Evans music and I think I have everything on vinyl well. I think I could play one or two back in the day as well - Jolymont springs to mind and also Jessica. Very difficult I thought at the time. Couldn't play them now.....

Are all of the Kicking Mule tabs in cgdgad? No. You'll find that all sorts of tunings are used particularly by Dave Evans. Phil |

Phil I once saw him play and he had three guitars on stage with him, all made by himself, one had a red stained top, another blue stained and the third green stained. All in different tunings and with the colour of the top as his guide. Great player. Colin |
