I don't know much of his catalogue, I remember him being a big thing when I was younger - but he played electric so I wasn't overly fussed.
But he seems to have inspired many players...

I used to enjoy a bit of Duane Eddy - Peter Gunn and Forty Miles of Bad Road and that sort of thing. RIP Duane.
