Has anyone tried Black Mountain Picks? There was lots of hype and ads appearing for them on my timeline so I took the plunge. Basically it’s a thumb pick that’s also a plectrum. I chose the thinnest (0.6mm) with the extra tight grip and initial reactions are good. Obviously I can still use a human thumb but in my dotage I’ve found this is getting a little sore, especially in a tune session. Any other users?

Hiya Geoff, I have a couple of BM picks which I use on rare occasions I do want a pick - I find them very useful for switching from strumming to fingerpicking, that little spring does do a big difference. Having said that, if I want to play bluegrass, I will use a normal pick. Cheers

Tried one, but it didn't do it for me. Or, more likely, I didn't do it for it....
I've never been able to strum or dum-ching with any thumbpick I've tried so far, so if a song calls for fingerpicking and strumming then I'll do the hybrid picking thing.
