Last night we had the pleasure of seeing the Quebecois band, Genticorum.
I though they were pretty good. Three guys playing broadly traditional song and dance tunes on Guitar, fiddle, flute, accordion, mandolin and the energetic Quebec foot rhythm thing, damned if I know how anyone can play a fiddle, sing and do foot rhythm at the same time.
Good selection of tunes and songs well presented and energetically played.
a song from there latest album

Thanks for posting this, I hadn’t been aware of them before, and I enjoyed their very distinctive traditional sound.

Excellent, thanks for sharing. They remind me of another Quebecois group, Le Vent du Nord, who I have seen live multiple times. They tour in the UK regularly, and if you like this sort of thing, well worth seeking out. Features a hurdy-gurdy! Peter

Peter I love the energy here, and the crowd are obviously enjoying themselves tremendously!
