If you happen to be passing Oasis Music in Ringwood, they sometimes have a few old issues for sale.

Can't but smile at the price of £3.85. The good old days....

I have a whole storage box of the damned things and I can't get rid of them. I took them to a car boot sale - none went at 10 for a pound. Nobody even loked at them. The charity shops won't have them. I did manage to slip a box in with several other boxes once, so I don't have a full set of them, but there must be 30 or even more in the box. It'd cost far too much to send them all by parcel post, but if you PM me your address I'll send you a few, Larry.

Today's piece of useless information:
Simon Dinnigan , as mentioned on the cover of Acoustic#1 above, used to be one of my patients in the 1970s when he were nobbut a lad. He later became an "award winning classical guitarist" as the cover mentions.
Sadly, at some point he suffered a back (?) injury which affected his fingers, ending his concert performing career. I believe he now has his own company working in producing/editing TV and film documentaries for most of the UK's major broadcasting organisations.

Of course, the one thing we all have in common is that without that now defunct publication, we would never have had this community.
If I remember, it was a pretty good mag until it changed ownership when it became a bit crap. I'm pretty sure I cancelled my subscription some time near the end of its life.

That's how I remember it too. I recall lots of "let's talk to this famous electric guitarist about why they occasionally pick up an acoustic" features towards the end. I guess they were trying to widen the audience, but they ended up losing those of us who liked the folk and blues focus, without really gaining the more mainstream readers who already had loads of other magazines to choose from.
It was good for a while though, and some of the guitar photography was excellent. And as you say, we might not be here without it!
