Posting my GM guitar in the classified section (whaddya mean, you haven’t seen it? Get over there RIGHT NOW and check it out!) made me think, not for the first time, that more people should be aware of Geoff’s music. He goes back a long way, from the US jug band craze in the 60s to chamber orchestral arrangements and brilliant solo blues in the present day.
Here’s an example of the latter:
And here’s a nod to his jug band days brought up to date, with Jim Kweskin. Watch to the very end for some great advice, of which all guitarists should take note (not least yours truly…):

We do an arrangement of both Wild Ox Moan and Just a Little While, both learnt from his teaching tape. I first heard the CD playing in a good record shop in Crewkerne, bought the CD, and then later bought the teaching tape - just less than 30 years ago now. Saw him live a little later at Dorchester (I think he had some health troubles at the time) at a Friday night blues club. It was full. Classy stuff. He played a small 12 fret if I remember correctly.

Fantastic, and the interaction at the end of the second video is great. I'm not sure Jim was fully onboard with Geoff's thoughts though.

I saw the ad, it reminded me of this video in which he mentions the jug bands. Don't need a second excuse to post it
