Never heard of Michael Chapman, but what a player.
Accurate and clear picking, nothing overly complex, just a very clean style which sounds fantastic.
Love discovering new artists (old but new to me), so I shall be going down the rabbit hole today.

New to me as well but it seems he was quite prolific and there's quite a bit of his stuff on YT that I'm enjoying listening to. Isn't music great? Still 'discovering' new stuff in my 60s. |

Loads of Michael Chapman's stuff on Youtube which is great - excellent bloke. NikGnashers - if you haven't already discovered her, have a look for Bridget St John (who has done some nice stuff with MC in more recent years). Wizz I discovered about 15 years ago, when I was going through Renbourn videos, and saw him play with John, which started my journey into that rabbit hole. I know a lot of modern technology is annoying and I am quite 'anti' a lot of it, especially social media as I don't do FaceBook, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, or anything similar, but thank heavens for YouTube because without it I would not have discovered dozens of amazing 50's / 60's / 70's fingerstyle Folk musicians. |
