Daisy does some absolutely fantastic work. Kudos.
I can't help but feel jealous of her massive workshop full to the brim with Lie Nielson and Axminster Professional tools. I wish I were that successful !
I liked her approach to the building of the side of the guitar, full depth kerfed linings, I'm not so sure I would ever go so far as I love the fact that you can see the outside woods on the inside. I bet that tonally it does an amazing job.

At the moment, post apprentice-ships, she has completed 6 or 7 guitars under her own name - her instruments are certainly rare ...

She’s had, I think, apprenticeships with Tom Sands and RosieTGC. She’ll undoubtedly have a fantastic grounding in the craft and her skills will have developed during the course of those training experiences. I can’t help thinking she’s too ‘new’ to be charging those prices, though. I remember Rosie and Rory (Taran) charging much more modest fees at the beginning of their careers. Once established, and with reputations to match, they have been able to command proper recompense for their instruments. If Daisy can do it; fair play to her. If I was lucky enough to be spending that amount on a guitar I’d be giving it to Turnstone, or Bown, or Taran. |

I’ma firm believer that every business that really flourishes has a certain amount of luck at some point.
Daisy’s fortune seems to come in the shape of a really fantastic connection into the world of PR, branding and promotion.
The quality of her presentation across video, web, magazines and papers is almost faultless. And good luck to her with that.
So many of us share her skills in wood craft, yet we struggle to create businesses from our skills.
I wish her continued success.
