Well u got myself down to the picture house in hebden bridge for the magic numbers gig - as part of their acoustic tour, but it was cranked up at times and was rocking - bloody brilliant it was. They played some new stuff from their new album due out in the new year i think aswell as all the old classics - Im still buzzing here man, and not a drop of alcohol inside me - as i my sorry billy no mates ass down there on me tod A new track they played from their forthcoming album was called Roy Orbison - great track that one with a real touch n sound of the big O himself They finished with a.cover by Neil young i think called Harvest Moon - q nice track to go out on that one Support was from a band called Goldheart Assembly - a 5 piece but with it being an acoustic tour there was just 2 members with acoustic guitars, they were also excellent and very funny too. The.crowd were outta there seats dancing at the front - it was a good un

Yep it was ace - they are one of those bands that sound the same live as they do on a cd, they have great voices. Several instruments played too inc double bass, mouth organ, and various percussion and this thing that looked similar to a keyboard but it had a thing on the side that you squeeze in and out a bit like an accordian. Even shaun the.drummer got in on it with a.few harmonica solos I recommend checking them out online and try one of their gigs sometime

Seems like it was a great gig, Phil. I quite like the band, and I'm sure I have a CD of theirs kicking around somewhere that I got some years ago. We were in Hebden Bridge on Saturday - shame we couldn't meet up.

Not trying to name-drop or anything, but I was jamming in the pub with one of the girls from the Magic Numbers the other night after their Edinburgh gig. She seemed a lovely girl. Great voice.

Blimey - nice one......assume it was Michele (the bassist) you played with.......when she came out for her solo numbers at the start she looked quite a lot slimmer , shes lost a chuck of weight - she can play my bass anytime They did come out after their gig to the merchandise desk to sign stuff etc but I couldn't be arsed being pushed n shoved around so I went home - ace gig

Yes, it was the Michelle one. She was there with a couple of friends. She joined in singing with the other people that were playing and she did a song herself on a borrowed guitar. She seemed to be having a great time
