An interesting "resurrection" of a cross between a grand piano and a cello built by S?awomir Zubrzycki, a Polish pianist and composer, from the plans that were sketched by da Vinci in around 1470. The plans come from the Codex Atlanticus, an 11-volume collection of da Vinci’s drawings and writings, comprising work on a range of subjects from botany to physics. I saw this too, Dave and was quite impressed! But when you dig a bit deeper it appears that a Japanese instrument maker, Akio Obuchi , had sorted much of the design work out a few years ago.
