s1363.photobucket.com/user/dablues1/library/BROOK%20TAW Well, the new guitar has finally arrived! On Wednesday actually but i have been to busy picking it up and looking at it to take any photos. It is everything and more than i hoped for. Just beautiful, the finish all round is flawless, the sunburst and the mahogany are as god as i have seen. I hopr the pics. do it justice. The sound is perfect, plenty of bass and really bright trebles, a lot of sound in a small package. The spec is; 12 fret 630mm scale, 46mm at the nut and 58mm string spacing at the bridge. Sitka top, flamed mahogany back and sides with ebony fretboard which is bound with rosewood and purfling. Diamonds and dots for decoration, inspired by Martin guitars. The headstock and bridge are standard Brook design, although the ends of the bridge have been cut straight rather than the pointed ends. The case is a blingy ivory Hiscox, it was sent to Brook instead of the black , at least i won`t have to search around the house for it! So, could i be any happier. Not with the guitar, but with my playing, YES. I didn`t realise how sloppy i had become on my Martin 00-15, duff notes didn`t shout out at me like they do on the Newby. ps. i would have put the pics. straight on the page but after 30 mins. trying i gave up. Sad i know, but as my son says, `technology is wasted on you dad`.

Excellent! Really happy for you.
I just got some pics from Rory of my builds and I have an inkling of how you must feel!
Enjoy.
Alasdair.
PS I went for the Ivory Hiscox also - Martin has a lot to answer for!

Fantastic! You made a brilliant decision with the pick guard- somehow it really enhances the look of the guitar. Looks an absolute stunner, and so glad you are pleased with it.

That's a killer sunburst, Steve! What a beautiful guitar! An excellent choice of case, too PS I'll link the pics in your post for you - you copy the code in the IMG box next to the photo you want and then just paste it into your post

Gorgeous guitar. Looks amazing. Case is very Liberace. How quickly do the brook's open up? Are you going to put a tonerite on it? Know there are mixed views but I am a believer.
Enjoy

Ha Ha, your right about the case. I will not be using a tonerite on the guitar, i will just enjoy the gradual opening up. Cheers.

Looks lovely, Steve. My first ever 'proper' guitar, Naomi, is a sunburst - a bit lighter than yours and I love 'er to bits

Absolutely beautiful looking guitar, everything about it is class, serious guitar envy. Come to think of it since I've got into this acoustic stuff I don't think Ive ever seen a Brook I didn't like and there's been quite a few stunners on here the last few years.

Congrats on such a stunning built guitar . I like the squared off ends to the bridge it makes it look better to my eyes . The sunburst is lovely and the back and sides , well they have the look of an exquisite piece of furniture straight out of the antiques roadshow . I wish everyone would stop posting these beautiful guitars as I have serious GAS for a hand built dream .
