It certainly is lovely. Like a peice of art. I've played a couple of Marleuxs and they are excellent instruments. Never felt tempted to buy one though.

A 3 Octave Bass? Most bass players would be sufficient with 1 octave. Or just had 4 notes, of E, D, G and A I imagine whoever sold it probably wonders what it sounded like too, as he/she probably forgot to put the amp on. *** These aren't bass player jokes, these are things I have done as a bass player...

I think that depends upon who is playing it, Robbiej. It can sound like the doorbells to nirvana or several taxis behind a cyclist;
