My copy of this arrived yesterday. It has been hidden away to reappear as a C-word present. There's quite a few pages from it on view here - www.fyldeguitars.com/book.htmlSumptuous, droolsome and with a pleasing amount of text too. Not cheap, but then again, as Mrs O'c says, "It's cheaper than yet another guitar!" , and, it will soon be C-word ! Keith

Mine has just been delivered. Oh joy! It looks fantastic - fascinating text and awash with beautifully photographed guitar-porn. Very well worth the price. Does it cover the snooker cue era? Oh yes, and so much more. Brian

Does it cover the snooker cue era? Yes it does Graham. There's a fairly comprehensive history section which does devote a bit more space than usual to this side of the business. Hard to be too specific as I've only had a very quick flick through, but it looks like Roger has gone into more detail about the ups and downs of his life's work, including some difficult personal times, than the previous book. Not having a Fylde (although I have an interest) I couldn't justify the price. I do, however, look forward to it being a prize on Forum Friday Giveaway #31675

Sadly my children are all emancipated so they can't be sold ... and my wife changed her name from Roxanne when we got married so THAT income stream is no longer available ... Surely children can still go up chimneys and down mines (if we had any left). Will your wife not get a paper round or two for such a good cause? Such a sad loss when Victorian values went out of favour... Bian

.......]Looks good Keith - when I bought a guitar from him he seemed a bit of a curmudgeon - is he? Phil................ He almost relishes the perception of being seen as one, and he is certainly a man of few words, but in my experience there is considerably more, in very good ways, to him. When/where did you meet him Phil? Keith

Had it five years then swapped it for a Martin OM21, then that went for a J45 , then that went for a superb Larrivee OM50 until I needed a short scale and I got the Torridge Phil
