Here are a small selection of pics I took of my new Freshman FA250OC . Id gone to Guitar Guitar to have a look at various instruments that would be gig ready sort of thing and tried a few out , including some Fenders , a Breedlove passport Mahogany , Yamahas and the Freshman range as well as a few Findlaysons and Ibanezes . This one stuck out by a country mile as having the nicest feel and tone . Its a bit more going on in the bass and mid department than the Sigma , which is maybe something to do with the Cedar and Mahogany , in fact I didnt even know it was Cedar until I got home and looked it up . Freshman guitars are actually designed in Glasgow , Made in China and then as far as I can find hand finished back here in Scotland . The other major draws were the fact that it was all solid , had the Fishman and came with a case as well as this lovely mellow sound and again like the Sigma the satin neck which feels superb under the hand . The only two things I wasnt keen on was the white binding on the fingerboard and the lack of a scratchplate , but after a quick visit to Ebay and a couple of days later it arrived . I had to shape it a little with my Swiss army knife then, hey presto all was well . The other thing I absolutley love about the guitar and this may sound odd is the tuners , I love the gold with the amber buttons . I had it with me at the open mic last Sunday but its proper first gig will be on Hogmanay at the Torphichen inn when ill be playing a full set with George Williams and his son Kyle . I will add more later to this to let everyone know how it and I got on ,but For now Im a very happy bunny with three different guitars that all have a place in my life for different things

That guitar looks fantastic. I haven't played many Freshmans but think I may need to try some out.

Good one Derek! The Freshmans I've tried have been remarkably good. Glad you like yours. And, I'm a huge fan of gold tuners with amber buttons too!

Thanks folks , we had our soundcheck this afternoon and it sounds superb next to the more bassy dreadnought . It plays extremely well too .
