Went to see this at Lowdham 2 days ago. Ric of course is fiddler with Fairport. The show was excellent with some incredible guitar also from Vo Fletcher. A very varied set of numbers from old time blues, Mississippi John Hurt, traditional folk and more. If you see he's coming down your way its very much worth a visit. I believe he's at Kingston on 19th Jan and will then be touring with Fairport for a while. The guy at Warthog promotions who had the show on Wednesday says he's re-booked for Lowdham in 2015,

I'd have liked that John! I have tickets for Fairport on their winter tour, at Weston. Looking forward to that -they are always excellent, and often with a good support act too. Quite surprised they are back again this year - last couple of times there the theatre was half empty. Keith

Keith We're booked in to see Fairport at Chesterfield in February, again 2 years running; it was a full house last year. It will be a good week when we go because we've also booked to see the Simon and Garfunkel show at Newark, two days before Fairport! And the Eagles in May in Birmingham; what a start to the year!
