Hi George, The red covered wire from your pickup is likely to be the "hot" signal wire, and the bare one (is that multi thin strands?) likely to be the "ground". That may be enough for you to decide what to do if yourr endpin has a wiring diagram. If not, and as I have no idea what your endpin looks like, the hot wire needs to go to one of the pins (probably the shorter one if they are different lengths)in the centre of the barrel, and the ground wire to the tag connected to the outside. Sorry not to be able to be more specific, but without seeing your endpin I can't say much more. This kind of thing - is what I based my description on - anything like yours? Keith

i have a pic of it but not sure how to put on here If your pic is a very small file you can use the "Add attachment" grey button at the top right of the "Reply" (not Quick Reply) screen. More likely you'll need to upload your photo to a hosting site (such as eg Photobucket) - this will give you an IMG link to copy & paste into your Reply screen. The pic will appear when you actually post. Hope that helps. keith

That was the situation to which my previous post was referring. If it's less than 1mB you can upload direct as described above, if larger then use a hosting site as described above. Keith

next slight problem pickup seems too small for the soundhole ...can't you fit it off centre across the soundhole? Have you sorted your wiring query or are you still going to post a pic of the endpin? Keith

Good! The arrangement of the business end of that one is similar to the one I pictured earlier.
So, wire it as I described above - solder red wire to the shorter of the two tags with holes, solder bare wire to the long tag, folding over the bits on the end of it and crimp with pliers to hold the entire cable firmly, preventing the connections from being stressed.

just going back to this one again guys is there a neat way i can make my soundhole a touch bigger? Hmm. I'd be reluctant to tackle that myself… I'd be tempted to speak to a tame luthier - perhaps Dave White…? - for some advice. Alasdair.
