I've started on my review of the 2 channel EDB-2 but I reckon it is going to take me a while to properly demonstrate the options for blending and mixing of eq. However, for those that re interested here is the purely descriptive part of the review. I shall post the musical part as soon as I have finished. Headway claim tat this is a better device which has surprised many simply because the original device was so good. It is noticeably better. The overall tone is better, although you always had a great tone after applying eq, but the biggest improvement is the quality of blending — much more subtle and a much classier sound! MP3MP4-ACCWAV

Having put the EDB-1 through its paces this afternoon at Robbie's I was amazed at how much of a difference it made to the 'spread' and depth of sound, even through his Rivera amp. So, the mark 2 must be incredible, but out of my price-range sadly.

Jonny Interesting comments — it is the 'spread' of the new, single channel EDB-1 (confusing these names) which has impressed me most. I am slowly putting together a series of sound files for the new EDB-2 Review. This device has all of the qualities of the device you tried but with a to more finesse and dare I say class!

Andy, the new single channel preamp is not also called EDB-1, but is in fact called the ED M-1 . Not an ideal choice of name, and still confusing I agree! www.headwaymusicaudio.com/product-category/pre-amplifiers/Keith
