I am having trouble with my Behringer Ultracoutic AT108 I just purchased. I have a Epiphone Hummingbird acoustic/electric. When I plugged it
up to the amp I got scratching and popping sounds. I have a lava Blue Demon cable that I use to connect. Every time I try to play through the
amp I get those scratching and popping noises from the amp. My guitar has a Shadow preamp. Nanoflex pickups.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Armando, and welcome to the Forum.
Sorry to hear of your problem, which may be caused by anything in the signal chain - the pickup, the preamp, the lead, the amp, or any of the connections in the chain.
Simple enough to check the amp - try another guitar and lead through it. If you still get the noises then the amp is likely to be faulty - it needs to go right back to the seller. Try your guitar and cable with another amp - if still problems then it isn't your new amp at fault.
If the amp is OK with a different guitar and cable, then go back to your guitar with a different cable then another guitar, check the sockets and all soldered joints in the signal chain, try a new battery in the preamp etc etc - sooner or later you'll isolate the area of the fault.
Hope that makes some sort of sense - it's late!
Let us know how you get on.
Keith

Good advice as usual mr Keith , yea try a different lead . You could always try the guitar you have into a different amp if you know anyone near you that has one . Lastly and i know it sounds daft but im not familiar with the pickup/preamp your using in the hummingbird but does it take batteries?? I only say this cause my 12 string made funny noises like that back in November at a gig , till i realised the battery was on its last breath . Inccedentaly welcome to the forum acmineiro , why not post in the introduce yourself thread and let us know a bit more about you . What music you like , guitars etc...
