This is the fault of the previous post...
Several versions of this but this is the one I heard first so it's my favourite.
So there.
Also have a look at Tim Buckley's original - I think there's a great contrast. I love the way good songs stand up to different treatments.
Enjoy.

Here's the Tim Buckley version
I love Liz Fraser. 'Heaven or Las Vegas' is a album that I'd love to listen to commuting late at night. I saw her play a solo show in the last few years, it was amazing to hear Cocteau Twins songs live (wasn't really old enough to see them when they were around!)

Two beautiful and contrasting versions of a superb song. I am so glad that her voice was allowed to shine through in the first version and that the all too common temptation of over-production was resisited.

Countless late night drives from Glasgow to Plockton - Heaven or Las Vegas, Treasure and others seemed to be for driving through the night. Come to think of it, I've a fantastic CC ep called Twinlights somewhere. Must dig it out...

And here it is - at least the first track of four:
Rilkean Heart.
Now I listen to it for the first time in years I'm transported back to perhaps my best Christmas ever.
Music's okay, init!
