I spent some of this afternoon (maybe an hour!) trying to get to grips with markthomson's arrangement of "House of The Rising Sun" in DADGAD from the 'Traveller's Tales' book (after he posted it online a couple of days ago and I was reminded how rather good it is!) Mark told me two years ago that it was the first arrangement he'd ever written specifically in DADGAD and it was actually quite simple to play. Mark is a liar.

I do not find this simples. There are several other superb tunes in Mark's book that I found it easier to get to grips with. I also love his "Ringing Tune", which, while not in the book, may be obtained from him. Brian
