What a superb piece of film-making. Dangerously seductive!

I know what I'll be learning to play tonight. Lucky I've still got Martin tutorial on claw hammer work.

Did anyone else get a chance to play ianlp59's Romero at Halifax? Absolutely beautiful! I was ready to put my name down for one until some other luthier gave me one of their banjos...

I'd played it before. Well, I made a random string of notes come out of it anyway. Not qualified to say anything more about it other than it looks stunning and sounds lovely when played by a proper banjo wrangler. But Martin, sorry we decided to present you with something even better! Keith

I didn't let myself get anywhere near Ian's Romero - though I gazed lovingly from afar. I'm a little concerned about the Romero business model though, as despite charging a premium price for an undoubtedly beautiful handcrafted piece of kit, it seems that neither of them can afford to buy jeans of the correct length. They could probably do with some input from scorpiodog...

I fear that this advert may fall foul of the Trades Description Act: "real musician", "in demand", "the ladies love the banjo"... I can, however, believe that you could make "several dollars" through threatening to play.

I looked at Ian's banjo seriously but somehow was rather frightened to ask to play it ....

I'd forgotten how superb the Romero video is - produced by Matt Miles who of course did the Brook Guitars video when he was a student I believe........ ........thus began my 'affair' with Brook Guitars Phil

It is fascinating to see Matt Miles development as a film maker. The promise is evident in his Brook film but his work for Romero is simply enthralling, and to think he filmed it all in a single day...
