Some interesting stuff this month, including a rather smug shot of Leon and I after getting our Tavy's set up ! Look out for the interesting looking "instrument" having a spray in the spraying room Some may not know that Andy's background is as a mechanical engineer, and motorbikes are as much a passion as building guitars. That reminds me, the reason I went down is to get them to look at the dodgy G string tuner, which was stiffening up quite badly at a point in its turn. Andy had a look at it, located the problem (it sounded like double dutch to me, but basically he was saying it was indeed a very dodgy tuner!) He whipped it all apart, got his file out, and about 30 mins later I had a tuner that works more smoothly than even a gotoh 510. Genius. Did you also know that Andy fits his own nut mechanism to all their truss rods? Anyway, look lout soon for a cracking 3rd issue of Babbling Brook that Martin is putting the finishing touches to, Robbie

Smug moi ? and today I was mostly wearing a purple shirt. I had K&K pickups fitted and a quick setup which seems to produce small miracles when they do it - such a beautiful guitar to play and it does amplify really nicely ... I'm still looking around for an acoustic amp. Best (affordable) one I've tried so far has been the little Acus amps (or is that Aci), the 5 and 6. Tried the Fishman loudbox and mini the other day and didn't really take to them. The Roland AC 60 was quite nice. Would like to try a Phil Jones AG150 also.
Cheers
Leon
