Life has been extremely hectic here at Savage towers lately with the business being busy and Mrs Savage also having started a management course which is taking up most evenings on the www . Today I was shooting the schools first communion as I'd done it last year and was asked back (must have done something right for a change). After I got home and the rain started I decided to get the guitars out . Now I've not been gigging for a few months as George Williams has hung up his gigging spurs , I have however managed to secure a new vocalist and an exciting new venture could be on the horizon . Anyway when playing the Freshman I noticed that the action seemed a little hard and uncomfortable , until I looked down the neck and noticed a slight bow . I checked this with a steel rule and sure enough it was bowed . After loosening off the strings and a few half turns all is well again and the action and intonation is spot on . My question after this long story is this . Should this have happened to a guitar that's not a year old yet and spends its life when not being played inside its case and inside a large cupboard away from direct sun and heat . I'm really worried about her but maybe I'm just being silly , can anyone ease my mind or is this a problem . She's in concert pitch most of the time and has been gigged and open mics a few times and was at the brother in laws for a jam a few weeks back so maybe just the temp changes .
