There's a programme on Radio 2 at 10 pm this coming Monday called "Kalamazoo Girls". Narrated by Suzi Quatro, it tells the story of the women who made Gibson guitars throughout Worl War II when the factory was meant to be entirely devoted to the war effort.

I've been listening to the series and they have been interesting so far. This sounds like another good one.

It's very much worth a listen! The book was written John Thomas who is an authority on banner Gibsons/Harp guitars/Brazilian Rosewood law and so much more. He's a good friend and a very, very cool human being. I read the book with tears in my eyes. It's wonderful.
