In the past I have made a few truss rod covers out of old broken 78 RPM records, one of them is currently in America on a 1959 Gibson J-45, I have another but I want to make one out of mother of pearl
Where can I get an off-cut of mother of pearl about 2mm thick and just large enough to make a Gibson bell shape TRC?

Thanks Keith
It may be although I suspect it may be too thin and might break when the screws are tightened

... I suppose you could stick two pieces together to make it thicker. Mind you, laminated truss rod covers probably don't give as good a tone as solid ones! Keith
