One of my guitar-bouzoukis has "moved home" and now lives in the USA with Gabriel Donohue. I got this lovely e-mail (with video link) from him this morning: "Hi Dave Here's your zouk in action in Pennsylvania. Andy Irvine was at our house for a house concert last week and got to try it. He was impressed. Gabriel" You can find out more about Gabriel here.

That's some proper playing and singing, that! The guizouk/boutar sounds and looks fantastic, Dave.

Thanks guys.
Alasdair - this is a guitar-bouzouki that I made for Tad Sargent in 2007. When I made him another in 2012 he sold the original one to Gabriel. I only found out last year when Gabriel e-mailed me asking for some information on the allen key needed to adjust the truss rod.

Great sound, and nice to see a singer with a pint in his hand instead of a microphone.

Smashing that, Dave. What a great instrument. One of the comments calls it an 'Irish Bouzouki or Cittern' .Be great to hear what you think of that. I can't see it well enough even to see how many strings it has.

Alison - thanks.
Paul - it's a guitar-bouzouki, like the one I've just made for Leo and the one I brought to HB3, eight stings in four unison pairs.

Blimey, they rang clear and true, both the 'zouk and the performances. Excellent.
