I guess it only won 'cause it was the Top of the Pops theme tune, for yonks.
Zep did a ton of riffs better than that.
I rather like the inro riff to Johhny B Goode, by Mr Berry, of course.

For Zep riffs I think 'Black Dog' is much better: more crunch.
I'm disappointed that 'Burn' by Purple isn't on the list.
And what about 'All Right Now'?
'Oh Well' and 'Rattlesnake Shake' should be in the mix, too.

I voted for Whole Lotta Rosie, AC/DC. In the live If You Want Blood it fits in with the audience chant perfectly. It was the first thing I ever learned to play on guitar.
