On recommendation I took my new Larrivee to a guy called Steve Curtis who owns a company in Manchester called 'The Guitar Repair Workshop'. (it is housed in a unit which is inside the large PMT music store) I wanted him to just check it all over and set it up the action. He did a superb job of it (I had frets dressed etc) and it plays even better than when I bought it.
I would highly recommend Steve and his two colleagues - very friendly and accomodating and above all clearly passionate about guitars. I would even travel to use his services.
Steve also showed me how to make my own truss rod adjustments if needs be explaining how and why the neck can move in diiferent climates etc.
