He's superb. Has anyone ever played a Strat better than this?

He's superb. Has anyone ever played a Strat better than this? Other than Hank Marvin, of course.

Stumbled across this on the Candyrat website: Lovely stuff - it's got everything in it Phil Stimulating technique. You know- the distance between Steffen and the accomplished finger-style players on this forum is not vast. In my experience, however, few pickers are interested in speed scales and groove. I've yet to understand why that is.

Excellent player / excellent playing technique indeed. Though I have to admit on a personal; level, particularly in the "City Lights" video, I kept waiting eagerly for those changes back to cleaner tone from the more heavily overdriven parts. Yes - I think my conversion to acoustic is looking more and more total and permanent, though I still don't know why it happened. I'm afraid an overdriven electric now so often just sounds so ...., well, to be honest, ugly to me. Mark
