Nice!
Wonder why the bass E is wound the opposite way - ? straighter string path - ? not enough clearance to do it the expected way - The A string looks very close to the E peg...

Keith It's a nylon string guitar with wooden pegs, the strings look the right way around to me anyway! The player in question has amazing technique, in particular his right hand work is incredible.

earwighoney - yes, I do understand the type of guitar, look again - the bass E is wound differently to the A and D. Honest! Keith

I had a look around at a few sites that sell flamenco guitars and it seems peg heads are strung that way. No idea why it is done that way. My guess would be there isn't enough space as the head of the peg is somewhat wider than a normal tuner and the peg head is thinner than a a headstock for mechanical tuners. I really like the way traditional wooden pegs look but they are an absolute nightmare to use.

I posted up on a flamenco forum, and I got back this reply
Q - Why are the two E strings wound the opposite way to the other strings? A - I believe it puts those strings more in line with the nut slot and not interfering with the adjacent strings
I think that makes sense!

Well, it does make sense - and they're exactly the two possible reasons I guessed at above - I was hoping for something more interesting/obscure/Spanish! But thanks for checking it out! Keith
