Gotta love that voice. And what a great choice of song.
Townes van Zant was a heavy influence on me, between my John Prine and Shane Magowan stage, especially after someone told me he was barmy. I just found this, and yes he does seem a bit out there

The Townes van zandt album live at no quarter in Houston is one of the best records I own. Recommended to all fans of great acoustic music.
