...playing a small, stringed wardrobe. Not usually my sort of thing - I can admire the tippy, tappy technique but the results generally leave me cold. But Andy McKee is different. There are real melodies for which the texhnique is an augmentation rather than a substitute. A good interview too: SEE HERE

Love a bit of Andy McKee. I was one of those teenagers that saw drifting then thought I need to learn that song get bald and has a beard. Then money and chicks will come running. Now I have a missus and 4 pets and no money. Didn't work too well But Andy is brilliant one of my favourite acoustic musicians and I know few folk have listened to two or three of his songs the tippy tappy ones which are cool but my least favourite songs of his. He brings some moving melodies. Then when I saw him live he was telling all the stories about the songs and was having a good crack with crowd reminiscing when he was last in Scotland. A lovely chap.
