Recently acquired these 2 beauties.
Although I was more than happy with my Blackstar HT-Dual.
The fact that it can't run off my Boss BCB-60, 9V pedal board and needs it's own,
separate power, makes it more hassle to take out and about.
Playing my PRS Custom 24 or MusicMan Axis Super Sport, through a Blues Junior III.
I set the amp to clean, with a tiny amount of warm, valve crunch.
The Flat 4, I set to just add a small amount, more crunch and volume.
The V8, I set to a heavier, more driven distortion, with a small volume boost.
I'm lucky, to also own a TC Electronic Mini Spark Booster.
This is a clean boost, I use to add a little more volume.
For me, that's all the bases covered.
The 2 new VOX pedals are very impressive.
They look great, to my eyes.
They are very solidly built.
Also love the inbuilt valve (12AX7), for it sonic effect and look.
Both pedals are true bypass and have volume, gain and 2 band EQ.
They are designed to give that British valve amp sound.
This, to my ears, they achieve.
This comes with a certain, natural brightness, to that sound.
I like it but if you don't, the 2 EQ knobs will help you out.
Yes, I like these pedals, a lot.
Even more than the HT-Dual, in fact.
Which is saying something.
The price of these pedals has gone right down, in the UK.
So you get a lot, for not much cash.
