Well, I can't see your thumb sticking over the top so that must be a good sign! Are you using any books/lessons? Good luck with it.

Well, I can't see your thumb sticking over the top so that must be a good sign! Which is why I could never learn classical guitar...

Always good to want to reach another level... but don't think of it as learning classical, just good technique which will impact on all your playing and relieve stresses and strains, improve tone and in the long-term enhance your enjoyment of the instrument.
Good luck with it.

You are not alone out there. I'm doing the same with the mandolin: scales and a plectrum. I find it gets quite enjoyable when the fingers start doing what you want them to do and you start seeing some progress - little small steps. I find one success opens up another path i.e. another piece of technique to learn.
thanks for that

Good luck with it. Jonny Funny thing is having struggled with guitar for years, mostly steel string, I've realized I prefer classical. I just love the sound of a classical guitar.
