Sorry Daniel - somehow missed your video and have just caught up. Did enjoy it. Was especially impressed with the recording of the bass - very nicely punchy without being unpleasantly boomy. If I'm being really nit-picky, then a couple of the notes on the guitar solo were a teeny bit suspect intonation-wise ... the one slid up to at 2.25 and to a lesser extent 2.27. Excellent arrangement and nice laid back vocal. All the best for Sundays gig! Keith

A nice vibe Daniel...a good production...reminds of Chris Rea's lovely "On the Beach"...

soundcloud.com/danielscottmusic/breathe soundcloud.com/danielscottmusic/dont-leave-me-wanderingSahmradh would really enhance my recordings. I've heard what it can do and it would be a dream to be able to use a guitar with that tone in my songs as a few of my songs are slow ballads which would really benefit from it's sound. I'd like to say in a years time i'll be a good deal further in the music scene than I am now as I only started writing songs about a year and a half ago and that was essentially when I first decided that I wanted to take this singer/songwriter thing 100% seriously. I'll be playing at every festival opportunity I can find and that let's me perform such as the fringe for this year and will be playing any gig opportunity that appear throughout the year. I'm hoping by the end of the year I will have recorded the final 3 tracks for my E.P aswell. Thanks very much

Already commented on "Breathe" when you posted the video, but "Don't leave me wandering" is new to me and is a lovely well crafted song with a nice interweaving of supportive guitar bits with the vocal - like that a lot, right up my street. Enjoyed the variation in the song - not easy to achieve in a guitar/vocal only job - nice! As a personal preference I like to hear people singing in their own natural accent and with properly enunciated final consonants to words where appropriate. I don't mean this unkindly, but on Breatheit is obvious from the start that the sung accent has a transatlantic twang to it, and eg the word "doubt" comes across as "dou..". "Don't leave me wandering" has slightly more of your natural voice coming through, but for me it still has a way to go in terms of clear diction, and natural accent, especially for a Scot. Many would disagree with me, including you; and your recording may reflect what you want it to, but I'd love to hear you "coming out" a lot more as your natural self vocally. Keith

Keith Thanks keith, it's a weird one. Ever since I was born i've listened to American singing artists and British artists who sing in an american accent such as Elvis Costello so the american accent in my singing when writing a song has always just stayed. The new one don't leave me wandering was me experimenting I suppose as it's alot more laid back, it's almost like me speaking into the microphone so I can get my accent across more. But, yeah I know exactly what you mean, i'll just have to see what happens with my voice in future haha. Thanks alot for listening to the tracks
