BBC 4 at 11 pm. Not sure if this should have gone in the electric section. If so, can you just pretend?

Sorry Martin, I should have said what it was. Having looked it up again I'm not exactly sure. The summary says it charts his career from early days with Hawkwind, but the longer review says it follows him over a three-year period with Motorhead. Now I'll have to watch it to find out!

It was in August 1970 that I did a gig as support to Hawkwind at an open air concert on Wormwood Scrubs Common in London (not far from the prison. . . but on the outside!) That was the first time I'd ever heard them and was really impressed.by them. Dennis

We're playing Ace Of Spades and Silver Machine at our gig tomorrow, along with a bunch of Bowie songs and two Eagles numbers. I have purchased a slide whistle to replicate the spacey noises in Silver Machine Motorhead were the second band I saw live (in 1979) so I had a bit of a soft spot for Lemmy.

I'll have to see if this is on catch-up.
I went to see Motorhead in the early nineties somewhere in London. Grabbed a bite to eat at home before setting off - the only thing in the fridge was a jar of lime pickle and some old pitta breads. Needs must ... it's important to line the stomach.
On arrival at the venue I started to experience very bad abdominal pain, then vomiting. Had to leave even before the support band were on.
Rock 'n' Roll!

It is, indeed, on catch up. The only problem with programmes that are downloaded from catch up is that they have no subtitles. I need them more and more nowadays. Of course there is nothing wrong with my hearing it's just that everyone seems to mumble nowadays.

I have purchased a slide whistle to replicate the spacey noises in Silver Machine . That swaney whistle could be handy for Elton John's "Rocket Man", too.
