As I said I won't consider putting anything other than K&K into my guitars, if a player wants something different, well they can get someone else to fit it, or preferably buy a different guitar, as I don't want people thinking my guitars sound like that.

Very altruistic ...but how can you control the signal chain once it leaves the guitar? Audiences can only rate what they hear from what comes out of the amp or PA system...which surely reflects the player's and sound engineer's abilities at least as much as either the guitar or its pick up system. And what do you do about players who don't always get their tuning quite right or spend inordinate amounts of time retuning between songs?...I'd suggest that audiences might look at the instrument and wonder if it was at least partly at fault... I could go on but hopefully have already made my point..

Headway always get my vote. Also, if you use one of their pre-amps you can run the pick-up on phantom power which saves messing around with a battery. Being a UK company any issues can also be easily sorted. Cheers Gary
